Chelsea Hardin was born in Hawaii and grew up there, so she was definitely an ideal choice to represent the state as Miss Hawaii USA. Hardin majored in Anthropology and Geography with a minor in Ethnic Studies at California Polytechnic State University. She also had an athletic scholarship to play NCAA Division 1 volleyball. Aside from volleyball, Hardin tries her best to be active with other pastimes. She enjoys surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, hiking, and canoeing.
Hardin turned her lifestyle into a career while she also giving back to the community. She works for Hawaii Speed and Quickness, an organization that promotes living healthy and active lives in underprivileged areas in Hawaii.
